About Better Base Solutions
In 2020, when everything shut down and everyone was scared, I made a decision that seemed maybe a little crazy. I was 30 years old, and instead of waiting for things to go back to normal, I started Better Base Solutions. I had spent enough time watching contractors treat jobs like checkboxes. Show up, do the work, move to the next client. Nobody was really explaining what was happening or why it mattered.
The early days were about learning. I worked closely with each client, not because it was fancy or marketable, but because I actually needed to understand their situation. I wanted to see where things were breaking down and why. Every conversation taught me something about what people actually needed versus what they thought they needed. That friction point became everything.
I learned quickly that most people don't want to be sold to. They want someone to explain what's happening, walk them through the thinking, and only recommend work that actually matters. When you do that, something shifts. You stop being a vendor and you start being someone they can trust.
'I wanted to build something during the hardest time that people would actually respect. That meant doing the right thing even when nobody was watching.'
— Founder, Better Base Solutions
We don't sell work that isn't needed. This came from watching clients get pressured into fixes they didn't understand. Now, if something doesn't make sense, we don't recommend it. We've turned down jobs because the real problem was smaller than the contractor wanted to make it. That's cost us money. It's also built us trust that money can't buy.
We teach and explain the process because people deserve to understand what's happening with their own situation. When we walk you through why something matters, you're not just taking our word for it. You can make better decisions. That clarity reduces fear, and it means when we do recommend something, you know we mean it.
We're locally owned and operated because it matters. We see our clients again. We care about the neighborhood. We're not a national brand pushing volume. We're here, and we're building something for the long term in the place where we work.
What it feels like working with us is simple. You call or visit. We listen more than we talk at first. We explain what we're seeing, why it matters, and what your options are. You don't feel rushed. We don't pitch you on packages or upsells. We solve the real problem and do it right. When you work with us, you know exactly what's happening and why.
That's the business we wanted to build during the pandemic when everything felt uncertain. Something solid. Something honest. Something you could count on.
